History

Wolfgang Denk founded 1984 the company Innovative Systems-Courtwall being distributor for Prodorite plaster, Ellis Pearson glass walls and ASB – for squash court construction in Austria.

1984 – 1990 About 200 squash courts have been built in Austria, Italy and Hungary. Own squash clubs have been built and operated such as the Squash Insel Süd, a 16 courts facility in Vienna/A.

1990 the court construction business was sold to Ferro Betonit AG, Austria

1997 After Ferro Betonit was stopping building activities in sport facility field, the Courtwall brand was reactivated from Wolfgang Denk. Intense development and research programs have been started to create a play wall system which is 100% maintenance free and has a non paint, non plaster surface.

1998 Joint venture with McWIL USA at this time one of the leading court construction companies in USA, being a FIBERESIN wood court panel dealer. The new McWIL Courtwall logo was created.

1999 First new McWIL-Courtwall system courts using special modified high density wood panels produced from FIBERSIN USA have been installed in Germany, and passed the accreditation scheme from the World Squash Federation WSF.

2003 McWIL Courtwall launches a professional tournament all glass court – being used for the Woman World Team Championship in Herlev, Denmark

2004 McWIL Courtwall launches a mobil professional tournament all glass court – being used for the Bermuda Squash Open – and many other tournaments all over the world from this time on. The McWIL Courtwall all glass court becomes the official PSA Tournament court

2005 Peter Nicol`s company Eventis is purchasing a McWIL Courtwall mobil professional tournament all glass court, being used for own squash events, as well as being available as rental glass court in Europe.

2009 McWIL Courtwall is launching his own glass back wall system

2010 McWIL Courtwall does launch the Premium Court System with sand filled front wall elements

2010 McWIL Courtwall LLC does become a Swiss registered public stock company - McWIL Courtwall International Holding AG. Privat IPO is scheduled for 2012.

2011 - OctoberThe joint venture between McWIL Sportsurfaces and Courtwall (McWIL Courwall) was declared to be void as of 31.12.2011. The new logo Courtwall Innovations was launched. All Courtwall developments and WSF accreditations, like the glass wall systems, the openable back wall, the moveable sidewall and the ProView all glass tournament courts will remain as intellectual property with Courtwall.

2011 Courtwall does sign a long term agreement with Peter Nicol, former World Champion, developing the P.Nicol designed courts and P.Nicol signature squash clubs powered from Courtwall Premium Squash Courts.
